Holographic > Red Dot, Holo has a bigger dot thingy, and it’s more leet to have a Holo over a noob RDS. Thermal is a better version of an ACOG BY FAR, idc that is displays in thermal, it’s a beast. Heartbeat is only useful when you have your radar jammed by N00Bs who use scrambler or whatever, and silencer is stealthier than it anyway. Throwing Knife is LEET, because only pros use it over like the semtex or claymore. The grenade launcher is a beast if you know how to use it, shotgun FAILS, extended mags aren’t worth my extra slot, FMJ is fun to have if you are spraying from your hip, but I always ADS with my THERMAL, ACOG, or Holographic and get headshots so it doesn’t have use with my BEAST .50 cal class.
ur stupid the shotty is for pros the nube tube is for 1337 h4×0r n008s
cod god, your horrible…holo sucks, less visibilty, common sense, get your facts straight, your a random.
Lol..no kidding dude…Acog is nothing like thermal…thermal is a friggn Sniper scope that shows enemies as white and his liek 3x as thick lines in it..wow…And btw fmj does ()*&^ for you if you’re shooting from the hip, all it does it strengthens bullet penetration shots. Any1 can use a Grenade Launcher…
The Thermal sight shows up enemies in the open as white on a grey scale background, provided they don’t have the Cold-Blooded perk. It increases recoil, is slow to ADS (Aim Down Sight) and blacks out all peripheral vision, but gives, roughly, a 2x zoom (more on a sniper rifle, less than a 2x zoom on others). You can also hold your breath with a Thermal sight. It is best suited to the sniper rifles, FAL, M16 and possibly the AUG HBAR. The best maps for its use are Wasteland, Underpass and Derail.
The ACOG sight also increases recoil and is slow to ADS (but still faster than a standard sniper scope) but gives a 2x zoom (increases range) on all weapons, but sniper rifles, and peripheral vision is not obscured by the black border as seen with the Thermal and standard sniper scope. It is best suited to the M16, FAL and AUG HBAR, on long range maps, as above, and ones which are slightly closer, such as Quarry.
The COD:MW maps are smaller than most COD:WaW ones and, therefore, favour frag fests over patient ambush tactics, thus limiting the usefulness of scoped weapons. Due to this fact, the ACOG and Thermal sights should be used in conjunction with the Steady Aim perk and fired from the hip during close quarter fighting if you can’t switch to your secondary weapon quickly enough (NB: The best secondary weapon is probably akimbo M93 Rafficas or PP2000s, but you could use a silenced M1014 Shotgun if they get really close and you wish to remain undetected and ‘Cold-Blooded’).
However, they are more worthy of attaching to your gun in the right situation than the Red Dot/Holographic sights, which add little or nothing to your weapon over the standard ‘Iron Sights’ and therefore should be substituted for Grenade Launcher, FMJ, Heartbeat Sensor or Silencer attachments instead.
Goat… er, thermal on Derail?? Almost useless, unless your mark nicely pops his head up through a building windows – the snowy background over most of the map completely washes out the thermal…
the whole point of thermal is that it doesnt show things in regular scale dippy….It shows everything to be gray or black, with players as BRIGHT WHITE
does anyone use the shotgun attatchment? Is it worth using if you already have a shotgun as you secondary weapon?
WEAPON ATTACHMENTS AND EQUIPMENT
Weapon Attachments
Grenade launcher is good for taking out enemies from a long range or large groups of enemies.
Red Dot Sight: It is Easier to aim with RDS and it might add some range and accuracy.
Silencer is good for taking out enemies and not giving away your position but it also decreases damage and range.
ACOG Sight is not very good for anything except add range and if you have a silencer and acog sight on then acog takes out the minus range from the silencer.
FMJ adds some damage and increased bullet penetration. It is very good for Scrapyard when you can just shoot threw the airplane walls.
Shotgun Attachment(Master Key) is very good if you don’t want to waste secondary weapon slot on a shotgun. It has moderate range and kills from one shot from close range.
Holographic Sight is more accurate then the red dot sight and it also has a ”glitch” that adds 5 plus damage.
Heartbeat Sensor shows nearby enemies if they don’t have the ninja perk on. Very good for Search and Destroy.
Thermal Scope is very good for sniping because the enemies glow white and you can nail some tricky shots and see enemies you would not normally see but if the have the Cold-Blooded Perk on they won’t glow white.
Extended Mags is pretty much what the name says, it gives you more ammo in one clip but also decreases your default spare ammo.
Akimbo: Allows you to carry two SMGs,Pistols,Machine pistols,Rangers and Model 1887s. Decreasinng range but hugely increasing fire power.
Equipment
Frag is good if you want to take out rooms full of enemies because you can cook it and if you are good with it you can cook it so that it explodes when thrown threw a door
Semtex is pretty mutch the same as frag grenade except it sticks to surfaces and people, has a timer until it explodes and you can’t cook it.
Throwing knife is good if you have a riot shield and you throw it when someone comes closer to try and kill you and its also good for epic kills cross the map :)
Tactical insertion is good for snipers who have found a good camping spot and want to respawn there the next time they die and is also good if you want to keep a location from the enemies(Like if you place it on the balcony in estate and when you die protecting the house you respawn there)
Blast Shield is the Perfect equipment for people who use the riot shield because you can get stucked one time by a semtex and you wont die and it shields from other explosives too like getting nood tubed behind you but it also takes the radar and score away when you put it on.
Claymore is a very good equipment for cambing. You can easily protect you back by placing a claymore where you think the enemy is going to come from and when they come BOOOM and they are dead.
C4 is excellent for objective based game types like domination, capture the flag, sabotage, headquarters. Just place the C4 at the flag or crate thingy and when you hear something like ”Loosing Bravo” or ”Our flag has been taken” just press the right button or the right trigger on PS3 and You will probably kill whoever took your flag or is capturing something.
XBL GamerTag: SilentButton PSN: Don’t have one(wish i had)
The reddot sight is better for close range fighting and shooting from the hip. While the holographic sight is better long range because the bullet spread is diffrent. But it also varies for every gun. Becasue no gun is the same.
