Thanks, Ironclad.

Unfortunately, I haven't taken the time to paint it yet. House projects taking precedence and all that.

I plan to paint it flat black though, as that will match my HT speaker cabinets.

Hey this looks great, thinking about doing something like that myself. I was wondering if you'd painted it yet and what color you are using to paint it. Do you have any updated pics with the paint on it?

The floor plate is 34" W by 29.5" deep, but didn't need to be this wide. 28-30 would probably work unless you're very large.

The side pieces are roughly 34" long and protrude about 7" beyond the bottom plate.

Are those the measurements you were looking for? If you need more just let me know.

The width and the length (at the longest point) of the sides would be great if you wouldnt mind. And the dimensions of the big floorboard if not too much trouble?
Thanks, Gaz

I don't have anything written, I just made it up as I went. Do you have any specific dimensions you'd like me to measure?

Hey there.
Great wheel/pedal mount! Do you have any sizes/dimensions for it, so I can build one? I could probably build it from your pics but that might include quite a bit of trial and error on my part with lengths/angles for both the pedal riser and the wheel mount.
Thanks, Gaz

Hi Ryyy,

Thanks for the comments.

The lap plate is held onto the wheel housing with 8 security screws on the bottom. These are torx head screws with a pin in the center preventing you from using a typical torx driver.

To remove these screws you have a couple options:

1) Buy a security screw driver of correct size.

2) Carefully break the pin off inside each screw, then use a regular torx driver.

3) Carefully remove the screw with a precision screwdriver.

What I ended up doing was #3 which result in a lot of #2. Heh. A precision screwdriver, which I had on hand, would fit into the screw behind the pin and grab onto the torx corners. Carefully working the screw out often broke the pin, requiring the next size up in precision screwdriver or torx driver.

It took some patience and working with it, but I got them out this way and saved the cost of the driver. You can probably find a driver for $10 or so online plus shipping.

Hey! Great basic looking wheel stand. I have a question. How did you remove the lap piece? I'm staring at it scratching my head!
