Just picked up an elite holiday bundle at Futureshop (Canada). It is a Jasper.

is it possible to use xbox 360 jasper 4 to 7 or xtra hours daily?i mean there isn’t really any kind of hardware issue or heating problem with new xbox 360 jasper arcade?

I just got back from deployment in July and went and bought my 360 due to me trading it in prior to my departure. Figured no use for a year = sell it and rebuy new upon return. I bought from best buy not knowing about the new Jasper. I ended up with the old system…boy that thing out of the blue would lock up on Need for Speed Shift and other higher end games. I bumped into info regarding the Jasper and wondered “hym…who would take the time to let me find a Jasper in their buisness”…Gamestop was awesome…me and the guy were in the stock room opening boxes…10 boxes later we found an elite system with the Jasper…it’s updating as we speak…Try Gamestop if you need to open boxes to verify a Jasper. Most likely an elite system will be it as they are the highest sellers depleting the old systems faster. Hope my experience helps someone.

guys may I ask if the 360 would run on a SD tv I still got the old tele and planning to use for the 360 gaming I used my ps3 there but restricted to Region 3 gaming TIA

I personally think most of the problems have been fixed with the latest Jasper models. They’re newly designed, use smaller fab process which makes everything cooler, and they’re just more reliable.

As reliable as a PS3? I don’t know, I think it would just come down to the dvd drive. It’s close enough in my opinion.

I would add that I also have a PS3 and a handful of games. Because of the controller and awful online for PS3, I rarely game on it. I think the last time I played something on it, besides a blu-ray, was at least 6 months ago. There is one exclusive title I’m interested in though, so that may change soon. However, I would never do without the 360.

I plan on purchasing another 360 still knowing the gameplay is still better than the ps3, but still something is telling me to go with the ps3, All I want to know is that if I purchase the 360 elite with jasper is it still a question of not if but when it will break down. Rather go with reliability.
