Reminiscent of a bad acid trip from the 70s, Galaga Legions was released this week on Xbox Live Arcade.

A frantic shooter with classic arcade roots, this title is pretty fun. I wasn’t quite able to get a handle on the enemies coming from the right and left yet, but the new gameplay elements of satellite guns which are placed where you want on the screen, makes this an interesting update.

“To say that Madden is a perfect game would be a laughable statement, but it surely is the best version to date for the next generation consoles. Everything from the visuals, audio, and presentation have been bumped up a notch to a level that would make any fan who has turned their heads for the last 3 years take notice. Sure the game plays familiar, but to die hard fans they wouldn’t want it any other way. As for Brett Farve, will coming back set him up for the Madden curse too? Granted, some guys just don’t know when to quit (Montana, Rice, Theisman, Jordan, etc.), but when your best year of 4 came in your supposed final season, shouldn’t that be the cue to say “I’m done”? The only good thing coming out of this season for Farve is to hopefully say, “I broke the Madden curse!” ”

Though I’m not a huge fan of golf games (I prefer games that require having 2 balls) , the Tiger Woods 09 demo should excite those old guys golfers out there.

This game is another remake of a classic favorite for me. I can remember playing getting beat-up by the computer in the arcades many moons ago. The original was tough, and a quarter sucker, but I loved it.

The remake faithfully captures the spirit of the original, but with new HD graphics. Definitely check this one out.

This game sneaked in on me, I didn’t realize it was about to release. I grabbed the demo last night and it is awesome! The only thing that looks a bit sketchy right now is the lack of fully featured Too Human reviews.

When a game is about to release, you normally see reviews from industry geeks who have received early review or preview copies of the game. Game publishers will often forego sending these copies out if they fear the game reviews might not treat them so favorably.

Time will tell, as this gem releases in just days.

This is a very cool game, I checked out the demo last night. Based on the NES classic, you are a commando with a bionic arm and wreak havoc in the 2D world. The graphics are slick, the controls are tight and the game looks to be fun. The demo is a bit short to tell how good the main game is, but current reviews are looking great. Add the challenge rooms levels (50-something of them) and this is a good buy.
