Call of Duty 4 – Prestige Mode, is it worth it?

COD4 Prestige Mode
You just hit rank 55 and now you are a Commander with those pretty 5 stars, where do you go from here? Well your not done yet! One of the great things about Call of Duty 4 is that it keeps the excitement coming, “The Prestige Mode.” Unlike other games in the past when you have reached your limit, what else is there to do?
It is time to hit that Prestige Mode button. Be aware once you do, you are committed to start the process all over again. Yes, everything that you may have accomplished, camouflage for your weapons, that red dot for your M4, challenges in boot camp and elite. Everything starts all over again.
But like I said earlier that is what makes Call of Duty 4, that much fun. You have 10 opportunities to relive the excitement from the beginning all over again, but with the experience you didn’t have at the beginning as a noob. It’s like going back to your childhood with the experiences and knowledge that you have learned on the way into adulthood (well at least for us older gamers).
Do you have the guts to Prestige? Are you ready to start all over again?
Go ahead hit the button and once you hear that gun shot you can not help but get a smile on your face and say to yourself, I am that good!

No, in Call of Duty 4 you only have the 5 custom classes. Sometimes I wish there were a few more classes, but you end up utilizing just a few weapons that you find that work well for your style of play. The few times you do adjust them is switching from game play, like Headquarters to Search and Destroy.
i miss my red tiger silenced P90
WOW I DIDNT NO IM A LIL NERVES **** LMFAO ALL OVER AGAIN **** THATS ALOT LOL. I GONNA MISS MY 50 CAL SNIPER RIFLE
It woulda been nice to keep your weapons but get to keep lvling up. Working so freaking hard for certain weapon skins or attachments and then losing them is painful. You get to do it again, but, ouch. Giving up the guns you worked so hard to earn just doesn’t feel worth it.
DOCCON IS RIGHT I STARTED IT N I WISH I CAN GO BACK ITS NOT KOOL AT ALL ITS VERY HARD WITHOUT CERTAIN ATTACHMENTS. I WAS PLAYIN THA OTHER DAT N I GOT MT BUSTED. IT ALSO WOULD HAVE BIN COOL IF THEY GAVE U MORE THINGS TO MAKE IT WORTH IT. BUT WAT THA (*&^ IT IS A HARD CHALLENGING
idk if i should do it
meh its not that hard… im top of every game unless some other higher prestige with a better rank is playing.. still its fun and i get to own guys at lvl 22 when they r 55 xD
I think Prestige Mode is cool if you like working over, and over again. Personally I think it’s stupid. Now I’ve only been playing for about two months now (I’m level 42 right now), so feel free to say I don’t know what I’m talking about, but I’d rather work for all the achievements and golden weapons instead.
i prestige once i am lvl 39 i have the golden shout gun i have the 2 gun with red tiger 2 guns with bule tiger my PSN is tribe12
Prestige mode does give you the chance to relive your game experience without creating a brand new account. It does wipeout your accomplishments but that shouldn’t stop anyone from getting to that gold cross. P.S. having a gold cross doesn’t make you any better than someone who never prestiged.
