Difference Between Xbox Live Silver and Gold

I’ve seen this question come up a few times, so I thought I’d address it here.
The xbox.com page on the subject makes the answer as clear as mud.
The main difference is you get online multiplayer with Gold. With silver, you can download content, demos, trailers, arcade games, etc. You also get achievements and all basic Live functionality.
Punch it up to the Gold level of service, and you get to game with others around the globe, online on Live. So, for example, without Gold, your Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter experience is going to be limited to single player. On Xbox Live Gold, you get to play with your buds in multiplayer games on Live.

I am an avid Sony fan but I’ve just given up. Xbox has much better online features. Not one of my seventy friends has a ps3. The highly anticipated Playstation Home was introduced in 2006 as “coming soon.” Its 2009 now almost and they still don’t have a release date set. Sorry there just isn’t any way fellow Sony fans, they’ve had 3 years its time we come out of denial. Anyway, this Christmas I will be trading in my Playstation for a new Xbox 360.

Thanks 4 clearing that up 4 me. Wuz gonna get an Xbox but this changed my mind. PS3’s online play is free all around. Multi-player or not. I’ll just stick with Sony. Only wanted an Xbox cuz it wuz cheaper.
