Difference Between Xbox Live Silver and Gold

xbox live gold vs silver differences

I’ve seen this question come up a few times, so I thought I’d address it here.

The xbox.com page on the subject makes the answer as clear as mud.

The main difference is you get online multiplayer with Gold. With silver, you can download content, demos, trailers, arcade games, etc. You also get achievements and all basic Live functionality.

Punch it up to the Gold level of service, and you get to game with others around the globe, online on Live. So, for example, without Gold, your Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter experience is going to be limited to single player. On Xbox Live Gold, you get to play with your buds in multiplayer games on Live.

Just thought i’d point out that i have noth xbox360 & PS3. tbh, the ps3 is much better when playing multiplayer games such as FPS’s etc. besides the lack of subsciption needed it is easier to find ppl for even the obscure games that very few buy. i have borowed copies of games like halflife orange box so i could give both consoles a fair review of their respective online service. As far as online related stuff goes (Im not getting into a flame war about graphics) the PS3 is king, Sorry :)

Silver members should have the ability to play online, its really unfair and plus its XBOX LIVE, and its meant to be ONLINE, duh..
