Best Buy to Have Xbox 360 Console Dec 18
A (supposedly) leaked insider document from Best Buy shows they are stockpiling 360 consoles to go on sale on December 18th.
A scanned copy of this document is linked below, and it is not verified, but does seem legit.
Here's the juice:
"Hold All Xbox 360s for Dec. 18 Ad
The next Xbox 360 shipment arrives in stores between Dec. 11 and 16. All units need to be held for Sun., Dec. 18."
Best Buy stores are also told not to take pre-orders, force bundle purchases, create waiting lists or hold the product for customers or employees.
They are also instructed to not hold a midnight or early opening.
There you have it! Those of you who haven't yet snagged a 360, here's your chance. Be at Best Buy early for their store opening on Dec. 18.

Yea when it was release day here ppl were waitin since from in the evening the day before and the few hundred after the 41 got sent home.i learned my lesson.

ok like if the official site of best buy says that they might not even be getting them b4 like 12/24 even then is this at all tru cause im totally for waiting on the 18th, since i fly back into the states on the 17th and all but i want to be sure and all
Just purchased my premium system from TARGET as of 10:45am 11/16; Called and they had 4 systems. Employees are advised to sell first come first serve. Start calling gamers, and luck maybe on your side as it was for me.

Ok, here’s the final word. trusted sources, including IGN say that yes Best Buy is getting shipments of 360’s. i find it highly improbable that someone would go through all the trouble to make that much a hoax. the next thing is “YES” you will need to camp. being as this is so much closer to chirstmas, coupled with the fact that it is a weekend and no one really will have to work on Sunday, and add the Rumor that Best Buy is the ONLY chain getting 360’s in this shipment in any feasible quantity, equals a mad rush to get them. your best bet would be to go to a store that has a lot of them via the store locator above. i would check about every 2 hours after 5pm saturday to find out if the line has started. i can pretty much guarantee you will need to be there for midnight and just deal with the weather albeit snow, cold, rain, or hail. Best bet is to get a buddy, bring a lawn chair, warm clothes, a duffle bag with beer, heck even a tent maybe and stick it out. the real question at hand is, does the 360 really mean that much to you? in my case, i have had a preorder in at a local Gamestop since Jue 15th, and i still will not be getting one from them until January which is absolutely rediculous. therefore i may be camping out of spite. anyone in CT, hartford county camping out, shoot me a holler. i’ll bring the beer…
P.S. keep in mind that about 500,000 preorders were not filled wich is more than half the preorders taken by stores other than beast buy. pair this with the fact that parents who absolutely have to have one for there kid for Christmas will be there, and bingo you will have mayhem. if you plan on camping, bring a stick, mini bat, blackjack, maglight, cattle prod, anything that can be used for defense. i guarantee that somewhere in America some idiot who waited hours will be robbed in the parking lot that very morning. although the chance is slim, it still will happen to someone…
it already did in south philly release day. some came up with a gun to sum1 n robbed them right down the street @ walmat because i was @ best buy that was down the street from it. plus in atlanta a couple followed a woman home that got one and then robbed here once she got home.
my friend works at best buy. he said that you can get one on the 17th because thats when they are goin to have them but that they have to have a certain amount before they sell the extras for sunday. pce
