Best Buy to Have Xbox 360 Console Dec 18
A (supposedly) leaked insider document from Best Buy shows they are stockpiling 360 consoles to go on sale on December 18th.
A scanned copy of this document is linked below, and it is not verified, but does seem legit.
Here's the juice:
"Hold All Xbox 360s for Dec. 18 Ad
The next Xbox 360 shipment arrives in stores between Dec. 11 and 16. All units need to be held for Sun., Dec. 18."
Best Buy stores are also told not to take pre-orders, force bundle purchases, create waiting lists or hold the product for customers or employees.
They are also instructed to not hold a midnight or early opening.
There you have it! Those of you who haven't yet snagged a 360, here's your chance. Be at Best Buy early for their store opening on Dec. 18.

I love the hysteria. But let me clear a few things. My store #8** has 28 not 24 like the list floating around says. we got 2 shipments. One of about 12 pro systems late last week and 16 today with 4 core systems. Also Best Buy does NOT do pre-orders on systems. ONlY a Selected Few Reward card members got an invitation to pre-order and the case of my store no one took that opportunity since we had Zero pre orders to hold.
Stores will open at 8 am Sun 18th. (the weekly flyer is already out in some place to confirm this.
There will be no midnight launch. Since we are anticipating a rush of 360 heads we are planning on passing out vouchers before the store opens up for business. But that all depends on the how many people are outside at 7:30am.
One more thing we have not recieved any HDD’s since Nov 22 we have no clue when we are getting more.

I live in west philly and my sister works in the bestbuy in atlanta n told me that they where getting them on the 18th once the other ones sold out. I going 5 pm sat evening. thats my insurance.well not really cause i dont have a car so i have to take Septa, lol but i will have my bat with me. p.s. does springfield has any laws about camping out in front a store.

on a Serious note the voucher is simply a piece of paper that has number on it attaching the customer that has that paper to a 360. So if we 20 360’s there will be 20 vouchers. Whoever doesn’t have one in the line can call it a day if they happen not to have one. But like I said it depends on the crowd. If it’s a normal day it will not be done that way. If there is a line similar to the one on Nov 22nd. The vouchers will be passed out. To prevent people like leval 50 from beating pushing, stampeding and people up on their way into the Magnolia.
Oh yea all I can say is be there as early as possible. You might have people in your area in line come Saturday be it rain or snow. Some folks really want the thing and can’t wait till 2006 when they’ll be everywhere.
