Best Buy to Have Xbox 360 Console Dec 18
A (supposedly) leaked insider document from Best Buy shows they are stockpiling 360 consoles to go on sale on December 18th.
A scanned copy of this document is linked below, and it is not verified, but does seem legit.
Here’s the juice:
“Hold All Xbox 360s for Dec. 18 Ad
The next Xbox 360 shipment arrives in stores between Dec. 11 and 16. All units need to be held for Sun., Dec. 18.”
Best Buy stores are also told not to take pre-orders, force bundle purchases, create waiting lists or hold the product for customers or employees.
They are also instructed to not hold a midnight or early opening.
There you have it! Those of you who haven’t yet snagged a 360, here’s your chance. Be at Best Buy early for their store opening on Dec. 18.

bestbuy doesnt suck, i got one…waited 14 hours for it in the freezing rain and was #2 in line. worth every bit of it. and my store had exactly 30 just as the inventory reports showed. sucks for all you who didnt get one. be cool.

Anyone hear of a Dec 22 shipment at Best Buy?? I too did not get one on the 18th. I went to Waterford Ct store, was 20th in line at 6:30 AM, so I thought I was in. Only to find out at 7:30 that tickets were handed out the night before sometime, not sure when. So I hung around till 8am and sure enough at 7:55 a bunch of people pulled up in cars got out went in and got a reserved system. I am ok with being too far back in line, but not with the tickets. The people should have stayed in line until opening, plus I would have seen 50 people in line and went home. The ticket system constitutes a rain check to me.

The reason why they gave tickets out the night before is because the cops didnt want people staying out on the street all night. They could be a disruption to the apartments that live above the store. At least that was the reason in NYC.
I agree they should have left a note or something to the people who came after Best Buy closed. But it still doesnt change the fact that you came too late for your system. The people who got the vouchers would have still been there all night, and you still wouldnt have recieved your system.

This sucks because my store gave out the tickets on the 17TH!!! While the ADD Says ” The 18TH “. Its like a kick in the ^%$#!:P Best buy didn’t even have the “atleast 20 per store” that they promised because they were all pre-sold with vouchers. It is all FALSE advertising, because by the 18Th there is not a single system. That is why i was so pised about the voucher situation which was underhanded and uncalled for. Other than that i will have a nice Christmas and do something better with the $500.00 i had saved. Merry Christmas and wait untill Feb. No rush….

You wouldnt have had your system anyways mario, because the people who got vouchers were going to wait there all night anyyways. They just saved us the hassel. If they didnt offer vouchers, you would still have been screwed.

I got mine friday 16 ordered it wednesday before. BTW it is freaking awesome. This site http://www.xbox360tracker.com/ looks for stock avaliable online.
It has shown 360s in stock over the past couple weeks and it is real cause i got mine.

You guys got to calm down, its only an xbox. There will be loads of them after the holidays. I got mine today at 8am. I was #10 line and I camped out for 16 hours, so dont *&^%# if you didnt get one at 5am sunday morning.
