Best Buy to Have Xbox 360 Console Dec 18
A (supposedly) leaked insider document from Best Buy shows they are stockpiling 360 consoles to go on sale on December 18th.
A scanned copy of this document is linked below, and it is not verified, but does seem legit.
Here’s the juice:
“Hold All Xbox 360s for Dec. 18 Ad
The next Xbox 360 shipment arrives in stores between Dec. 11 and 16. All units need to be held for Sun., Dec. 18.”
Best Buy stores are also told not to take pre-orders, force bundle purchases, create waiting lists or hold the product for customers or employees.
They are also instructed to not hold a midnight or early opening.
There you have it! Those of you who haven’t yet snagged a 360, here’s your chance. Be at Best Buy early for their store opening on Dec. 18.

Yeah. I caught the vapors too. Out at 5:00 AM only to find out that the Riverside, CA store gave out vouchers last night at 9 PM. Straight BS. I left at 6:00 after realizing it was hopeless and went to the Corona store where they had 36 premium and 3 core ( it seems that Lambert’s site was spot on except that stores in the Riverside County area offered one less that what was posted (maybe giving one to an employee?). At 7:30 they handed out vouchers for the 39. Unfortunately I was 45th in line so I missed out. Had I started there I
might have snagged one. Final note: The Target across the parking lot had six that arrived last night. And no crowds. Still, they went as soon as the doors opened. I was about 20 minutes too late.

See i told you guys days ago what the deal would be. fact is that there was approxiamtely 300,000 units (heresay) shipped this time around. the fact that in total there were over a million preorders plus all the people that want one and didn’t preorder mean demand is still gonna suck, even through the next 30 days. in total approximately 630,000 units have been launched here in the US, leaving a deficit of approximately 500,000 PREORDERS STILL TO BE FILLED. the only real good news, is now that Microsoft has comleted there world wide launch, i would assume they will be smart enough to start focusing on areas where there was the greatest shortage of units to go round (namely here). i hate to say it, but the grim news is, your chances of getting one for christmas if you don’t have one now, are slim to none. without a preorder and at least being within the next four units sold on the preorder list, your chances stand in the ones : hundred thousands. but if your adamant like some people i know i will give you a few pointers on how to better your chances of getting one this late. first make a list of stores in your area guaranteed to cary them. then take the most popular stores off that list. you should end up with a list of stores something like - SEARS, SAMS CLUB, BJ’S, COSTCO, BERNIES (not sure), KAY, BEE, etc. then get a list of numbers for these stores, and call them each night or morning asking if a shipment came in and when they can expect one. now you will have to be ready at the drop of a dime to drive to one of these stores if they have it, because it won’t last long. this isn’t a guarantee, but you should do better than others who are just playing hit or miss.

Hey Guys i have saved so much money since Launch that i will really do something better. Great job microsoft thanks to you i have finally saved a lot of money that i will forget of the 360 and have a nice Christmas or get the ps3. Really once christmas is over its all over, the HYPE will die out and people will spend that saved money in recovery after the holidays. MSFT should have pumped out millions of these systems by this time for a better feast!! best buy is probably loosing a lot of money in potential sales….

Ahhhh…..Feedback……..bestbuy sux, target sux, circuit city sux, EB AND GAMESTOP TOTALLY SUCK, Microsoft totally errrd (especially in Japan), I think that we should pool all our money together and build a better console…..?????????
Or just save it for the PS3 which is prob. going to be better.
But I still want an Xbox360 =)

Shut Up Yahuda. You sound asinine. No one wants to hear that. Nor arrive 24 hours early to buy a product whose release should have allowed anyone who wanted to buy one, to do so without all the drama. I only camp out for the Rose Parade. Period. You act like the only way to ever get one is to set up a tent and be willing to *(&^ on oneself while camping out all day and night. It just dawned on me that in a month I’ll just walk into one of many stores (it sho won’t be BB) and purchase one. And all you’ll be able to say is that you got yours before I got mine. Who cares.

oh and btw I got an xbox 360 from one of those vouchers Best buy gave on the 17th. sux to wait out in the cold doesnt it?

ok i jus got bak from getting my xbox box, woo hoo. i was there since 5 pm las night n we didnt get our tickets til 8 am yea really late. ther was only 26 systems. the line was going around the block n the first 24 knew they wer all getting one but the others wuldnt listen when we told them that they wernt getting one. they waitn from lik 12 and 1 am til the 8 am nothing lik us those wer getting them. then the cops rolled up swinging batonsfor no reason then we got our tix n they got playd. yo the powercrod is giantic.
